Latur searches 13 locations for illegal moneylenders

Amid drought-like conditions, Maharashtra's cooperation department and police conducted simultaneous searches at 13 locations in Latur district. Documents including cash books, blank cheques, stamp papers, and property deeds were seized. Authorities launched the 'Police at Your Farm' initiative to protect farmers from illegal lenders. Banks have been asked to ease farm loans for rabi crop season.
