Lavrov set to visit Tehran for Russia-Iran strategic talks

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will visit Tehran on October 19 for talks with Iranian President Pezeshkian and FM Araghchi. Discussions are expected to cover bilateral cooperation, trade, energy projects, and regional issues including the Persian Gulf crisis. It marks their fourth in-person meeting in 2026, following Putin-Pezeshkian summits in Bishkek and Avaza.
