Lawyer urges SC to order CM Mamata to resign, CJI says 'I'll have you removed'

A lawyer urged a CJI DY Chandrachud-headed Supreme Court bench to direct West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee to resign over the handling of a trainee doctor's rape-murder. "We're not here to see what you feel about a political functionary. Your interim application isn't our remit," Chandrachud said. He stood up after saying, "I'll have you removed from the court."
