Layoffs are not due to cost-cutting: Amazon months after 14,000 job cuts

The layoffs at Amazon are intended to simplify the company's structure by reducing layers of management, not as cost-cutting measure, Amazon's SVP for Emerging Markets, Amit Agarwal, told ET.
