LDL-C not enough to predict heart risk accurately: Study

A new study in the Journal of Clinical Lipidology shows that LDL-C alone may not give the full picture of heart risk especially when apolipoprotein B (ApoB) is high. Analyzing data from over 500,000 people, researchers found ApoB to be a stronger and more accurate predictor of cardiovascular disease, urging clinicians to look beyond just LDL levels.
