Leaders of both NCP factions meet Maha CM Fadnavis, fuel merger speculation

The leaders of both factions of the NCP meet Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Tuesday, fuelling speculation of a merger. NCP (SP) state president Jayant Patil first met Sharad Pawar before meeting CM Fadnavis. Separately, ruling NCP leaders Sunil Tatkare and Praful Patel also met the CM. Reportedly, at least 5/10 NCP (SP) MLAs favour joining the BJP-led NDA.
