Leak shows Microsoft was building AI rival for its own flagship Windows OS

A leaked video revealed that in 2024, Microsoft was working on an AI rival of its flagship product, Windows, which would've been powered by Microsoft Edge and a new lightweight Windows codebase 'Win3'. The project, codenamed 'Aion', placed Copilot at its heart. Aion would allow users to use AI even to find files, open apps, and browse the web.
