Lebanon, drawn into war by Iran-backed Hezbollah, asks Iran's envoy to leave country

​Lebanon has declared Iranian ⁠Ambassador Mohammad Reza Raouf Sheibani persona non grata, asking him to leave Lebanon by Sunday. It also summoned ‌Lebanese ‌ambassador to Iran for ‌consultations, ‌citing what it described ⁠as ⁠Tehran's violation of diplomatic norms. This comes as the Israeli army continues airstrikes on Lebanon, which has been drawn into the war by the Iranian-backed Hezbollah.
