Lebanon's healthcare may collapse amid economic crisis: Minister

Lebanon's healthcare system is on the brink of collapse amid ongoing economic turmoil, Health Minister Firass Abiad has said. About 2,000 nurses and 1,000 doctors left Lebanon amid the crisis and moved overseas, a ministry official said. The health ministry's budget in dollar terms has also depreciated as the country's currency has lost over 90% of its value since 2019.
