Legendary comedian Gallagher passes away at 76 in California
Legendary comedian Gallagher has died aged 76 following a short battle with heart disease, his former manager said. Gallagher, who previously suffered numerous heart attacks, died surrounded by his family in Palm Springs, California. His 'An Uncensored Evening' was the first comedy stand-up special ever to air on cable television and he was known for smashing watermelons with a sledgehammer.
