Lehman Brothers' $600 bn bankruptcy largest in history

With over $600 billion of debt, financial services firm Lehman Brothers filed for bankruptcy on September 15, 2008, making it the largest bankruptcy filing in history. The bankruptcy was one of the biggest casualties of the financial crisis of 2007-08, considered to be the worst economic recession since 'The Great Depression' of the 1930s.
