Lenovo says high chip prices are new normal, warns 'They may never fall back down'

Lenovo said at ISC 2026 that high prices of DRAM and NAND memory chips are the "new normal", days after Apple announced a historic price hike over rising chip costs. The chips' prices may "never" return to pre-2025 levels despite multiple companies expanding chip production capacity, the company added. The "never" was presented as a joke, German site ComputerBase reported.
