Leopard mauls 12-year-old boy to death in Uttar Pradesh

A leopard allegedly mauled a 12-year-old boy to death in Uttar Pradesh's Lakhimpur Kheri district. The leopard was reportedly hiding on a tree and pounced on the boy when he was picking vegetables. It happened nearly two kilometres away from the buffer zone of Dudhwa Tiger Reserve. A compensation of ₹5 lakh will reportedly be given to the boy's family.
