Levi Strauss files for $100mn IPO to go public again after 35 yrs

Levi Strauss & Co, which made the first blue jeans in 1873, filed to go public on Wednesday. The paperwork was filed with a $100 million initial public offering, seeking a listing on the New York Stock Exchange as "LEVI". The company first went public in 1971, but descendants of founder Levi Strauss took the denim maker private in 1984.
