LIC becomes 5th largest firm by m-cap after shares list at 9% discount

LIC has become the fifth-largest firm in the country by market capitalisation after it was listed at a 9% discount today. After listing, its market capitalisation rose to ₹5.70 lakh crore on BSE. In market capitalisation, ahead of LIC were Reliance Industries (₹16.74 lakh crore), TCS (₹12.38 lakh crore), HDFC Bank (₹7.23 lakh crore), Infosys (₹6.30 lakh crore) on BSE.
