Lieutenant General Dhiraj Seth appointed as India's next Army chief

Lieutenant General Dhiraj Seth, who is currently serving as Vice Chief of the Army Staff, was appointed as the next Chief of Army Staff on Saturday. "An Armoured Corps officer, Lt Gen Seth brings with him nearly four decades of distinguished service," the government said. He will assume office upon the retirement of General Upendra Dwivedi on June 30.
