Lightning strike near White House leaves 2 dead and 2 injured

Two people were killed and two others were injured in a lightning strike in Lafayette Square near the White House, police said on Friday. The lightning struck them on Thursday near a tree that stands yards away from the fence that surrounds the White House, according to Reuters. A thunderstorm had swept through Washington DC earlier in the day.
