Lightning strikes Christ the Redeemer statue in Rio de Janeiro; pic goes viral

A picture showing a lightning bolt striking the Christ the Redeemer statue in Brazil's Rio de Janeiro has gone viral online. The picture was clicked on February 10 by Fernando Braga. "This is quite a recurrent event, being the highest point, it's just the luck of having someone doing photography at the right time," a post on Twitter stated.
