LinkedIn co-founder Hoffman's aide Dmitri calls Trump attack 'staged', apologises later

Dmitri Mehlhorn, a Democratic strategist and an aide of LinkedIn co-founder and executive chairman Reid Hoffman, suggested that the assassination attempt on ex-President of US Donald Trump was staged. "This is a classic Putin play," he said in an email to a few journalists. Later, he apologised saying, "I sent an email I now regret."
