Lion cub 'Simba' born from semen collected from dad 'Mufasa' before he died

A lion cub named 'Simba' was born in Singapore Zoo in October via artificial insemination. He was conceived with semen extracted from an African lion, 'Mufasa'. "Mufasa lived to the...ripe old age of 20 but didn't sire any cubs in his lifetime because of his aggressive behaviour," said Wildlife Reserves Singapore. Mufasa was euthanised after the procedure on "humane grounds".
