Six-time Ballon d'Or winner Barcelona's Lionel Messi has become football's second billionaire after five-time Ballon d'Or winner Juventus' Ronaldo as Forbes estimated that the Argentine's pre-tax career earnings have now exceeded $1 billion. Messi will be the sport's highest-paid player in 2020 as he is on course to earn $126million this calendar year, Forbes added.
