Lionel Messi won the World Cup, is ahead of Ronaldo: Mesut Özil

On being asked to choose between Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi in Greatest Of All Time (GOAT) debate, former Real Madrid midfielder Mesut Özil said he would choose Messi because "he won the World Cup". Özil had earlier termed Ronaldo as the GOAT. Ronaldo and Özil were teammates at Real Madrid and played 149 games together.
