Lipton owner Unilever puts its €2.9-billion global tea business under review

Consumer goods company Unilever has put its €2.9-billion global tea business under strategic review amid a decline in black tea sales. The review could reportedly lead to a partial or full sale of the brands Lipton and PG Tips, and may have implications for Indian unit Hindustan Unilever (HUL), which produces tea brands Brooke Bond Red Label and Taj Mahal.
