Liquor ban in 19 religious places in MP comes into effect today

As part of MP government’s new liquor policy, a ban on sale of alcohol will take effect in 19 religious places in the state from Tuesday, an excise department official said. The ban has been imposed in the urban limits of Ujjain, Omkareshwar, Maihar, Orchha, among other places. Around 47 liquor shops will be shut down due to the ban.
