List of fake universities in India released; Delhi tops list with 8

The University Grants Commission (UGC) has issued a list of fake universities in India. Delhi has the highest number of fake universities at eight, followed by Uttar Pradesh (4). Andhra Pradesh and West Bengal have two fake universities each. Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra and Puducherry have one fake university each, according to the UGC list.
