Litigants to now get court fee back even in private deals in Delhi

Delhi Assembly passed an amendment to Court Fees Act, 1870, under which a petitioner will now get full refund of court fees even if disputes are settled outside the court. Currently, petitioners receive a 100% refund only when disputes are resolved through court-referred alternative dispute resolution (ADR), while a petitioner gets only a 50% refund in case of private settlements.
