Live cockroaches, rotten vegetables found in Hyderabad restaurants in surprise inspection

A surprise food safety inspection by Commissioner of Food Safety, Telangana uncovered violations at some restaurants in Hyderabad. The findings include open drains and stagnant water in kitchen, expired food items, rotten vegetables and live cockroach infestation in vegetable storage and refrigerator areas. The team also found vegetarian and non-vegetarian items together in the same refrigerator.
