'Living entity' Ganga river gets notice from Uttarakhand HC

The Uttarakhand High Court on Friday issued a notice to river Ganga, which was declared as a living entity in March. The court has sought a reply from the river on a PIL stating that the government has proposed to construct a garbage dump spread over 10-acre land that has Ganga flowing on two of its sides.
