LNG tanker rates jump to ₹1.8 crore a day amid Middle East war: Report

Shipowners and brokers have roughly doubled the rate to more than $200,000 a day (around ₹1.8 crore) for LNG tankers in the Atlantic Basin, Bloomberg reported. This comes after QatarEnergy, the world's largest LNG producer, ceased production amid the Middle East war. No transactions were known to have been booked at the latest offer rates, the report said.
