Locals turn door into stretcher, carry pregnant woman to hospital amid floodwaters in Maha
Locals in a village of Maharashtra's Palghar turned a detached house door into a makeshift stretcher to carry a pregnant woman in labour to the hospital as floodwaters cut off ambulance access. ASHA worker Divya Gharat and social worker Chetan Gawad mobilised residents, who waded through chest-deep waters to transport the woman safely. She later delivered a healthy baby boy.
