Location of balls revealed through pics, 50 years after astronaut played golf on Moon

On February 6, 1971, American astronaut Alan Shepard hit two golf balls across the lunar surface after NASA's third crewed Moon landing. Imaging specialist Andy Saunders used the mission photos to find the location and distance travelled by each ball. The first ball came to rest 24 yards from Shepard's 'teeing off' point, while the second flew 40 yards.
