Lok Sabha clears ₹57,000 crore fund amid LPG supply crisis

Lok Sabha on Friday cleared a ₹57,381.84 crore fund for the Economic Stabilisation Fund amid the ongoing LPG supply crisis across the country. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman told the Lok Sabha that this would "provide fiscal headroom to allow India to respond to the global headwinds". The money will currently help protect consumers from energy price shocks, reports stated.
