Lok Sabha seats to increase to 815, women to get 272 seats: Govt on delimitation

After bills on delimitation were tabled in the Lok Sabha on Thursday, Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal said that Lok Sabha seats will increase by 50% to 815, of which 272 will be reserved for women. He added no state will lose its existing seats and all will retain their strength. Currently, the strength of Lok Sabha is 543.
