Lokhande Prashant Sitaram appointed as new CBSE chairman amid OSM row

Hours after Rahul Singh was transferred, the government appointed Lokhande Prashant Sitaram as the new CBSE Chairperson. The action by the government followed the controversy over the on-screen marking system portal, which has triggered outrage among students. Singh has been appointed as the Additional Secretary, Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, a notification by the government said.
