The record for the longest television interview, lasting 26 hours and 4 seconds, is held by New Zealand politician Tim Shadbolt and CUE Television Owner Tom Conroy, who interviewed Shadbolt. The event, which took place on 28-29 April 2012, is also considered New Zealand’s longest-ever broadcast. The funds raised during the show went to first aid group St. John Ambulance.
