Lord Ram idol removed in Hyderabad; BJP slams Congress-led govt

A Lord Ram idol, installed at a crossing in Hyderabad's Basheerbagh for Dussehra celebrations, was removed on Saturday by a temple trust under orders from the civic authorities. The removal led to BJP accusing the Congress-led government of having an "anti-Hindu" mindset. Earlier, VHP demanded that the crossroads be named 'Sriram Chowk', following which civic body ordered the idol's removal.
