Lost his trading income before building a ₹23,000 cr iron empire

Mahabir Prasad Agarwal started his journey as a steel and iron trader in 1970 but lost all his money as he never got the right quality of scraps. He then started Shyam Metalics and Energy in 1990 to produce sponge iron and later expanded to iron pellets and TMT Bars. Today, Shyam Metalics and Energy is valued over ₹23,000 crore.
