Louis Simpson, who helped pick stocks for Berkshire Hathaway's billionaire Chairman Warren Buffett, has died at the age of 85. Simpson died in Chicago on January 8 following a prolonged illness, according to the Northwestern University in Illinois. He managed the investment portfolio of insurance giant GEICO, which was fully acquired by Berkshire Hathaway in 1996, between 1979 and 2010.
