Louvre installs metal bars over robbed window after $102-mn heist

The Louvre Museum on Tuesday installed metal bars over the Apollo Gallery's windows, where thieves broke into the Paris landmark and stole jewels over $102 million. "This is one of the emergency measures decided after the theft," said museum's deputy administrator Francis Steinbock. Additionally, a police unit has been deployed at Louvre and project for increased video surveillance is underway.
