Lower class the most nationalistic, upper is least, says S. Dutt
Shekhar Dutt, co-founder of Sleepy Classes IAS, made a striking sociological observation: nationalism in India is inversely proportional to wealth. He noted that those with least mobility are most fiercely patriotic, while India's wealthiest often hold foreign passports or residencies. The middle class, he said, de-nationalises fastest when given any opportunity abroad.
