There have been 19 instances of a team successfully defending a target of less than 150 in Test cricket. In the nearly 150-year history of Tests, only twice has a team successfully defended a target of less than 100. The lowest score successfully defended in men's Tests is 85 by Australia, who won by seven runs against England in 1882.
