LPU students vandalise campus, set building on fire over viral posts alleging student's rape

Punjab's Lovely Professional University's students vandalised campus and set parts of the building on fire over unverified claims that a student was gangraped and had died by suicide. Around 2,000 students gathered near the girls' hostel and also blocked a National Highway. Police said a student had killed herself 4-5 days ago but no complaint linked that to rape allegations.
