L&T, Mindtree get merger approval, to be India's 5th largest IT firm

L&T Infotech and Mindtree received approval for a merger by the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT). The combined entity will become LTIMindtree and will be India's fifth-largest IT provider by market capitalisation and sixth-largest by revenue. L&T Group Chairman AM Naik said that LTIMindtree along with L&T Technology Services (LTTS), will generate $5.6 billion in revenue this year.
