Lucknow-Kanpur Expressway's surface peels off, cracks appear in divider a month after inauguration

The asphalt layer of Lucknow-Kanpur Expressway has peeled off at around half a dozen locations due to rains, almost a month after its inauguration. Large cracks have appeared in the divider of the elevated road near Shivpura toll plaza. A section of around 20 metres between kilometres 65.4 and 65.5 on the Lucknow-Kanpur carriageway reportedly sank.
