Lucknow's Mankameshwar Temple bans prasad bought from market

Mankameshwar Temple in Lucknow issued a directive amid the controversy over the alleged presence of animal fat in the laddu prasadam at Tirumala Tirupati temple. "Only prasad made in devotees' homes or dry fruits will be accepted as offerings (prasad). Market-bought sweets...are no longer permitted," the directive said. The decision was taken to ensure purity and sanctity in the offerings.
