Ludhiana data shows decline in govt school admissions

Data from the Ludhiana Education Department shows that in 2023–24, a total of 1,67,887 students enrolled in government schools after the AAP government took office. Although the enrolment campaign was intensified in 2024–25, admissions declined to 1,59,912. The downward trend continued in 2025–26, with enrolment dropping further to 1,54,667.
