Forward Romelu Lukaku scored twice as Belgium defeated World Cup debutants Panama in their opening match of the 2018 edition on Monday. Belgium are now unbeaten in their last 20 matches, with their last loss having come in September 2016. Further, Dries Mertens became the first Belgian to score in two different World Cup editions since Marc Wilmots (1998, 2002).
