Actor-designer Masaba Gupta said her mother Neena Gupta forbade her from acting as she didn't look like a "mainstream heroine". "She said...there are certain faces people associate with that of an actor. [Mother] said, 'You will always be considered a bit out of the box, too artsy, that probably get vamp roles, the seductress'," Masaba told Faye D'Souza.
