Maa Tara Tarini Temple: A sacred shakti pitha in South Odisha

Maa Tara Tarini Temple, situated in the Ganjam district of Odisha. It is one of the 51 Shakti Pithas in India. The Shakti Pithas are believed to be the places where the body parts of Maa Sati landed after being cut by Lord Vishnu's Sudarshan chakra. It is believed to be situated at the spot where Maa Sati's breasts fell.
