Macron rejects minister's resignation after France protests
French President Macron declined Interior Minister Laurent Nuñez's resignation after violent protests left 18,000 arrested. Nuñez admitted police "lost control" during unrest triggered by poor school conditions and cost-of-living grievances. Around 1,500 shops were looted across Paris, Marseille, and other cities. PM Lecornu will hold a crisis cabinet meeting to address the unrest.
